Welcome to the Ontolica® for SharePoint® User's Guide. This guide will help you get started with the Ontolica for SharePoint product, which is a commercial plug-in for the Microsoft® Portal Server 2003.
Ontolica for SharePoint is currently available with the following modules:
Ontolica Portal Search. Enhances the standard SharePoint portal search features.
Ontolica Knowledge Base. A powerful solution for storing, searching and sharing links across SharePoint sites.
All examples throughout this guide are based on Contoso. Contoso is a fictitious medical company invented by Microsoft.
This guide describes the usage and basic configuration of these modules. Please
refer to the Ontolica for SharePoint Administrators Guide for installation instructions and issues regarding advanced configuration.
